Milagro translates to "little miracles" and these little charms are used in Mexican chuches to request divine assistance and healing.  An arm would be places on the fabric skirt of a saint's statue on a side altar of a church to request healing of your child's broken arm. A truck would be for a broken down truck and a martini glass would be requesting help for an alcoholic.

These milagro encrusted carved wood hearts started in the state of Guanajuato and sold at religious festivals for families to take home to their home altars... about 40 years ago. They are still elaborate and precious for you or a gift.  Each one unique. Note, the artist sent us hearts with red, black or purple painted backgrounds. (it's hard to even see that there's a difference)
